Orlando 2024: Day Six

The weather was pretty decent for a theme park – low 70’s and overcast so it wasn’t terribly hot walking around.  We got caught in some rain but it was a pretty light shower and didn’t last too long.

Per typical Disney, the place is beautifully landscaped and clean.  I’m thankful for the opportunity to visit but I think we prefer the Magic Kingdom.  Epcot rides were not as thrilling and there aren’t that many of them.

The cultural areas lacked information about the people and history of those lands, though the colors and architecture were neat to see.

We walked a total of 7 miles in the park and I think we rode every ride.  The simulators were cool and probably my personal favorite.

One memorable moment was when the Spaceship Earth ride inside the recognizable huge Epcot ball died on us.  We made it through most of the ride and were on our way back down when it stopped.  After about 10 minutes they turned on the lights and staff came up to release the car doors, allowing us to climb out and walk down the stairs and out of the building.
